Must Watch: Teaser Trailer For The Coen Brothers’ ‘True Grit’ Has Arrived

The announcement of Ethan Coen and Joel Coen making a new adaptation of the Charles Portis novel, True Grit, was exciting to all fans of movies.

We've heard plenty about the movie along the way, but the real joy would only come when we saw the first trailer. That day has finally come. Paramount Pictures has released the very first teaser trailer for all to see, and it's just as good as we've all hoped.

The trailer shows that this new True Grit -- which is not a remake of the 1969 John Wayne movie of the same name, only an another adaptation of the original book -- looks like it could be a fantastic new western movie, and it definitely shows off some of that Coen Brother tone. Stephen Fry To Play Robert Downey Jr.’s Brother In ‘Sherlock Holmes 2′

Posted: 27 Sep 2010 12:36 PM PDT

Actor Stephen Fry has joined the cast of Sherlock Holmes 2, the upcoming sequel to the 2009 hit directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, and Rachel McAdams.

Fry is set to play Mycroft Holmes, the older brother of Downey's Sherlock character. If the character plays out like he did in Arthur Conan Doyle's books, Mycroft is more intelligent than Sherlock and works for super secret government agency, but also more lazy than his younger sibling. Sources say the character will be a bit of an oddball and suffer from social anxieties.

Fry is a famed British actor and comedian, seen in movies like Gosford Park, Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story, and V for Vendetta. He's also well-traveled voice actor, offering up vocals for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and many video game titles including Fable II (and its upcoming sequel), Little Big Planet, and a handful of Harry Potter games. The seemingly busiest man in Hollywood just keeps getting busier. It's being reported that Guillermo del Toro will be writing and directing an animated film for DreamWorks titled Trollhunters.

The movie will be based on a short story that the filmmaker conceived right around the time that he sold his vampire book series The Strain, which he wrote with Chuck Hogan. We first heard that this project was on the way last year when it was announced that del Toro would be heading a new production label with Disney called Double Dare You.

Del Toro's involvement in animated films came when he recognized the constant evolution of animated films and their importance, leading him to get more involved. He's even got his own office at DreamWorks Animation and will be serving as a executive producer and consultant on multiple upcoming projects, including Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom, Megamind, and Shrek spin-off, Puss in Boots.
